"European Train Control System - ETCS Basics - Technology and Project Status"

Information on the guest lecturer:
 Mr. Matthias Marschollek (Dipl. -Ing., TU Berlin, Germany )

Present title:
Senior Engineer for Signalling systems and Project Manager
Train protection systems, Electrical drives in railway applications

Projects and technical works in which Mr. Maschollek has been involved:

(1) National and European Train Protection Systems (ETCS)
Concept design and engineering of the ETCS level 2 signalling  system
of a new fixed link railway connection (Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link) between
Denmark and Germany.

(2) Management of the Homologation process of the ETCS train-borne
equipment integration into ICE 3 trainset for Alstom.
Safety Case for generic application of ETCS level 2 trackside system for
high-speed lines in Spain. Deputy project manager ETCS level 2 Train Protection System for

(3) Thales Transportation Systems GmbH in the high-speed project HSL
Zuid, responsible for the system engineering, requirements manage-
ment and system integration tests in lab and onsite for ETCS level 2.

(4) Specification and Implementation of system integration tests ETCS level
2 in a test laboratory for the new high-speed Line HSL Zuid (Amsterdam
– Antwerp).

(5) Specification and Execution of system integration and operational on-site
tests for the new high-speed Line HSL Zuid.

(6) Software Specification for the application of German train protection
system LZB L72 CE II on the high-speed Line Cologne/Rhine Main.

「英語講義」ではなく「バイリンガル講義」なので、日本語のほうが書きやすい学生は、レポートを日本語で書いてもよい。(日本語で書いたからといって、採点上不利になることは無い!)
